What changes
The approach
- Keep the forest. The 70 hectares of existing forest are protected, not cleared.
- Plant the open ground. Hardwoods go on grassland and brush, in blocks that can be tracked and reported one by one.
- Grow our own seedlings. An on-site nursery and arboretum supply and showcase native species.
- Open it to people. A forest park and trails along the stream for schools, visitors and the community.
- Measure everything. Geo-tagged photos, GPS records and satellite imagery for every block.
